I attended a Book Presentation, titled, “Aisha Buhari; Being Different”, in honour of the Wife of the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Her Excellency, Dr. Mrs. Aisha Muhammadu Buhari at the Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Thursday, April 8, 2021.
The event, which had so many prominent personalities in attendance was jointly organized by the Office of the First Lady of Nigeria and the Women and National Development (WAND).
The author, Dr. Hajo Sani, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Administration and Women Affairs, succinctly captures the dreams and aspirations of Aisha Buhari as a young girl who was dogged, resilient and determined in achieving results.
It chronicles her undaunting support and mobilization during the electioneering activities of President Muhammadu Buhari from 2003, that culminated in the well-deserved position as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria in 2015.
Her Excellency, Dr. Mrs. Aisha Buhari has remained resolute in the promotion of the affairs of women, children, the vulnerable and down-trodden in the society.
Her call for the prioritization of Girl-Child Education by every household in Nigeria should be embraced.
