Today’s Mass second reading, from St. Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians 12:12-30, reminded me of the beauty of unity in diversity. It says, "God put all the parts of the body together for a purpose. If all the parts were the same, how could it be a body? The eye cannot tell the hand, ‘I don’t need you,’ and the head cannot tell the feet, ‘I don’t need you.’"
This powerful analogy of the human body highlights how every part, no matter how big or small, is essential. Each one contributes to the body’s strength, movement, and purpose. It reminds us that we all have unique roles to play, and together we achieve more.
As I worshipped today at the Imo State Government House Chapel with my husband, His Excellency, Distinguished Senator (Dr.) Hope Uzodimma, this message struck a chord. Let it inspire us as we step into a new week to value each other, embrace our differences, and work together in harmony for the greater good.
