Cervical cancer is the second most common cancer affecting women in Nigeria. Nearly all cases are caused by persistent infection with human papillomavirus (HPV), a common virus that can be prevented through vaccination. Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable and treatable cancers when detected early. However, the major challenge is that it doesn't show any signs in its early stages.

Regular screenings and HPV vaccination are key to prevention.
