January 15th, 2025, marked the first anniversary of my husband's second term in office and coincided with the Armed Forces Remembrance Day. We began the day with a Thanksgiving Mass at the Maria Assumpta Cathedral, Owerri, to express gratitude for God's grace so far and to pray for His continued guidance, wisdom, and sustenance in the days ahead.
At the Rear Admiral Ndubuisi Kanu Square, where the 2025 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebration was held, we reflected on the sacrifices of our armed forces, who laid down their lives to safeguard our Nation's sovereignty and territorial integrity. During the event, my husband led the laying of wreaths, signed the register, and performed the symbolic release of pigeons, signifying peace in our land. In the spirit of gratitude and remembrance, we honour the memories of our fallen heroes and pray for the comfort and well-being of their families. May their sacrifices never be forgotten, and may we continue to work towards a more just and peaceful Imo State and Nigeria as a whole. #ArmedForcesRemembranceDay
