Imo State warmly welcomed the esteemed First Lady of Nigeria, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, on December 6, 2024, as she arrived for a two-day working visit, accompanied by the wife of the Vice President, H.E. Hajiya Nana Shettima, the wives of State Governors, and other distinguished guests.

Upon her arrival, she paid a courtesy visit to the Palace of Eze Imo (Obi Ndi Eze), H.R.M. Eze Dr. Emmanuel C. Okeke CFR, Chairman of the Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers. True to her campaign promise, the First Lady came to express her gratitude to Ndi Eze for their support.

She was warmly received by the Council of Traditional Rulers, the 27 Local Government Chairmen, State Government appointees and their spouses, and the people of Imo State. In her remarks, she highlighted the transformative policies of President Tinubu’s administration aimed at enhancing the well-being of Nigerians and expressed optimism about the nation's future.

The First Lady encouraged parents to foster innovation and adaptability in their children while embracing emerging technologies. She further emphasized the need to harness Nigeria’s mineral resources, prioritize agriculture, and work collectively to restore the nation’s glory, paving the way for a secure and prosperous future for generations to come.
