As part of the activities lined up for the 2024 Ebonyi Women’s Day Celebration, I joined my esteemed colleagues from the Nigeria Governors' Spouses Forum (NGSF) in Abakaliki on November 14, 2024.

The day began with a productive meeting with the NGSF, during which we engaged in a thorough discussion on initiatives aimed at uplifting and empowering women across Nigeria.

Following the meeting, we paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, the Governor of Ebonyi State, at the Government House. The interaction was insightful, as we expressed our appreciation for his support of women-focused programs and discussed key strategies for improving the lives of women and girls.

We then proceeded to the highlight of the day; the Ebonyi Women’s Cultural Day, a colourful celebration hosted by the gracious First Lady of Ebonyi State, Her Excellency, Chief Mrs. Mary-Maudline Ogbonna Nwifuru. The event showcased the rich cultural heritage of the women of Ebonyi State and reaffirmed the First Lady’s dedication to their welfare and empowerment.
