On November 8, 2024 at the State House in Abuja, I joined the First Lady of Nigeria, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu CON, for the closing ceremony of the Women ICT Training and Empowerment Programme, organized by the Renewed Hope Initiative.

This program, held in collaboration with the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), brought together 252 women from across the Nation, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Participants received training in key ICT skills, such as software operations, data management, and digital content creation.

In her keynote address, the First Lady emphasized the importance of ICT proficiency in today’s tech-driven world, noting that these skills are crucial for success across all aspects of life. "These skills are indispensable tools for driving growth and empowerment. In a world powered by technology, they enable women to take control of their lives, contribute to their communities, and seize new opportunities."

Each beneficiary of the Women ICT Training and Empowerment Programme received a brand-new laptop and a cheque, presented by Her Excellency, who praised their resilience and dedication throughout the intensive digital training.
