Earlier today, I had the opportunity to join the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu CON alongside fellow members of the Nigeria Governors' Spouses Forum, at the official launch of the Young Farmers' Club in Nigeria. The event, organized by the Renewed Hope Initiative, a project led by the First Lady in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, took place at the State House Banquet Hall, Abuja.

The Young Farmers' Club aims to inspire and equip young individuals with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the agricultural sector. This initiative comes at a crucial time, addressing the urgent need for youth engagement in agriculture, which is essential for ensuring food security and sustainable development in Nigeria. The event gathered a diverse group of stakeholders, including government officials, agricultural experts, and enthusiastic young farmers eager to contribute to the industry.

A key moment of the event was the symbolic presentation of membership cards and farming tools by the Grand Patron and First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, H.E. Senator Oluremi Tinubu CON. In her address, the First Lady emphasized the importance of empowering young farmers for the future of Nigeria’s agricultural landscape. This is an exciting step toward building a sustainable agricultural future for our nation.
