Yesterday, at the Imo State Government House Chapel with my husband, His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma CON, the homily inspired introspection. The gospel reading from Mark 8:27-35, where Jesus asks his disciples, 'Who do you say that I am?' sparked reflection. Peter's response, 'You are the Christ,' demonstrated understanding.

The gospel calls for reevaluating our values, inviting us to let go of ego, embrace sacrifice and service, and find true identity.

As we go through the week, may we remember that our true purpose lies not in earthly success, but in living the life of humility, compassion, and selfless love.
