On Sunday, August 11, 2024, I had the pleasure of joining the women of my hometown, Ozuh-Omuma in Oru East LGA of Imo State, for the Grand Finale of the August Meeting. This cherished annual event, held at our home church, St. Rose De Lima Catholic Church, Ozuh Omuma, was filled with joy and unity. I was ably represented by the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Hon. Nkechinyere Ugwu, UNJP.

In my address, I commended the women for their continued dedication to virtue and community impact, emphasizing the significance of the August Meeting as a vital platform for identifying and addressing local challenges in alignment with governmental social initiatives. The gathering concluded with a thanksgiving mass, expressing gratitude to God for a successful grand finale and praying for His grace to reconvene next year for an even more impactful meeting.
