I attended the launch of the selection process for the #ONENIGERIA Unity Fabric competition winners. The meeting, held at the State House in Abuja on July 2, 2024, was presided over by the First Lady of Nigeria and National Chairman of RHI, HE Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON.

The First Lady expressed her delight at receiving over 100 entries, highlighting the impressive creative talent of Nigerian youth. She emphasized the competition's positive economic impact, noting that producing the winning design locally will generate employment for local textile manufacturers.

Reflecting on her experience with the "Governor for a Day" program, she encouraged participants to aim for excellence. A panel of fashion industry experts, including Hajia Abba Folawiyo and Banke Kuku, will evaluate the entries based on creativity, representation of Nigeria's unity and diversity, and the candidates' passion and potential in textile design. This initiative shows the Government's commitment to fostering creativity and economic growth, aligning with the administration's vision of a united and prosperous Nigeria.
