On Saturday, May 4th, 2024, I was represented by Hon. Lady Nkechinyere Ugwu, UNJP, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, at the inaugural Synod of The Presbyterian Church of Nigeria Imo Mission, held at their Owerri parish. During this event, I extended congratulations to the mission on their inaugural Synod and offered words of encouragement to remain steadfast in their mission of soul winning, teaching, and discipleship. Highlighting the synod’s theme, “More than Conquerors,” I emphasized that through Christ, we all possess the hope, strength, and determination to emerge as conquerors. The Synod was presided over by The Most Rev. Ogbu Thompson, PhD, JP, with Very Rev. Godwin Simeon Adaka, PhD, serving as the Clerk of the Mission Synod. Barrister Vincent Okoroji, KSC, FCAL, JP, delivered a keynote address urging the parish to imbibe the spirit of conquering through discipline, vigilance, and obedience to the word of God, the source of our victory. Notable highlights of the Synod included the inaugural Synod holy communion and award presentations.
