I extend my heartfelt Congratulations to my sister, the First Lady of Ebonyi State, HE Chief Mrs. Uzoamaka Mary-Maudline Ogbonna Nwifuru, on the successful launch of the Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Centre and the Flag-off of the Better Health for Rural Women, Children and Internally Displaced Persons Foundation (BERWO) in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
The unveiling and launch of her pet project marks a pivotal moment in the pursuit of a healthier and empowered community and will serve as a beacon of hope for the people of Ebonyi. The goal of these initiatives are to improve the well-being of displaced and disabled people, address crucial issues such as GBV and FGM, and offer a platform for education, healthcare, and empowerment.
As dignitarties from across the Nation gathered to witness the inception of this noble endeavour, it is clear that BERWO is poised to make a lasting impact. I am optimistic that with her leadership and collaborative efforts, the future of the centre envisioned as a hub of resilience, growth, and unity will continue to be a force for positive transformation in the lives of many.
Well done and congratulations, my sister.
