It was a mournful atmosphere and heaven's gain as we joined to lay to rest, the body of the Emeritus Bishop Catholic Diocese of Orlu, His Grace, Most Rev. (Dr.) Gregory Obinna Ochiagha at the Holy Trinity Catholic Cathedral Orlu.

I commiserate with the entire Catholic community, particularly, the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Nigeria and the Orlu Diocese, where the late cleric served as pioneer Bishop and later served God for decades, in many other capacities.

Late Bishop Ochiagha impacted positively in the lives of many, added value to people, spiritually, morally, otherwise and left enduring legacies of holiness and uprightness. He will be sorely missed.

May the soul of Bishop Ochiagha and the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.
