Yesterday, in the company of my dear husband, Governor Hope Uzodimma @he_hopeuzodimma, we joined David Greene, the Chargé d’Affaires of the United States Mission in Nigeria @usinnigeria, to celebrate the 247th Birthday of the United States of America.

The distinguished gathering had in attendance, Senate President His Excellency Senator Dr. Godswill Akpabio; the Deputy Speaker of the House the Honorable Benjamin Kalu @officialbenkalu, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation His Excellency George Akume @sgfakume; the Head of the Foreign Ministry’s International Organizations Department Ambassador Samson Itegboje, Governors; Deputy Governors; Members of the National Assembly; and Members of the Diplomatic Corps as well as other dignitaries.

We offer our best wishes to the people of America on their Independence Day commemoration.
