My counterparts from other States of the Federation and I, under the umbrella of Nigerian Governors' Wives Against Gender-Based Violence (NGWA-GBV) met yesterday, Thursday, December 3, 2020 at The Secretariat of the Nigeria Governors' Forum, Abuja.

The discourse of the meeting centered on appraising the successess and charting a way forward from the just concluded NGWA-GBV's maiden Annual Conference.

Recall that the conference centered on policy dialogue between State Governors and First Ladies of the Federation and the need to vote in more support in ensuring the enactment of the relevant policies and passing into laws, the necessary acts to curb the menace of Domestic and Gender-based violence in the different States of the country.

To this end, we resolved to continue to work actively towards intensifying campaigns against Domestic and Gender-Based Violence in our respective States.
