Late Rt. Honourable Barr. Innocent Arthur Egwim was an outstanding legislator and serving Member, Representing Ideato North State Constituency, in the Imo State House of Assembly. He was a true icon, whose presence and contributions will be greatly missed.

Members of the Imo State House of Assembly, High ranking Government officials, friends, well-wishers and a host of other dignitaries joined his family as they laid him to rest at his country home in Isiokpo, Ideato North L.G.A Imo State.

The Commissioner for Women Affairs And Vulnerable Groups, Hon. Lady Nkechinyere Ugwu, who represented me expressed my deepest condolences and prayers to the family.

May his soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace, Amen. I pray that God grants his dear wife, Mrs. Cynthia Kikelomo Egwim and the entire Egwim family the fortitude to bear the grief and pain.
