To ensure a smooth transition that preserves the dignity and integrity of the Nigeria Governors' Wives Forum (NIGWF), the transfer of authority and responsibility from one member to another is crucial and demands careful consideration.
Today, I had the phenomenal opportunity of addressing the incoming First Ladies of various States on following the appropriate Protocol and Etiquette during a panel session on the final day of the 2023 Governors' Spouses Summit at Lagos Hall, Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.
I am confident the legacies left behind by the previous members will continue to shape our foundation and inspire the lives around us.
The panel topic, "The Role of a 21st Century First Lady", which was moderated by the former First Lady of Ekiti State and Chair, Board of Trustees (NIGWF), HE Erelu Bisi Adeleye-Fayemi, had the First Lady of Kwara State, HE Amb. Dr. (Mrs.) Olufolake Abdulrazaq discuss on NIGWF's code of conduct and operating principles.
The First Lady of Lagos, HE Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, spoke on Office and Image Management, First Lady of Kebbi, HE Dr. Zainab Bagudu, explained Navigating the terrain and set priorities while First Lady of Edo State, HE Mrs. Betsy Obaseki highlighted on Achieving Impact and First Lady of Delta State, HE Dame Edith Okowa spoke on lessons learnt as a First Lady.
The brilliant insights shared by these various brains throughout the well-organized interactive session were fascinating and quite entertaining.
