A great man once said, “Even in death, great men are still great.” I hold the same belief because I know death is not final. Death is a chance for us to take stock of the lives which have gone to a better place and express our gratitude for the impact they left behind.

My darling husband and I attended the funeral mass of the late President-General of Ohaneze Ndi Igbo worldwide, Amb. Prof. George A. Obiozor CON, together with the Obiozor Family at Assumpta Cathedral Catholic in Owerri, Imo State.

Important figures from Imo State, senior Government officials, Igbo leaders, other sympathizers, friends, and relatives attended his funeral and expressed their condolences to the family while remembering the precious life that had been lost.

We further proceeded to his country home in Awo-Omamma, Oru East L.G.A, Imo State for the interment, thereafter, a grand reception was held in his honour at Rockview Hotel, Owerri.

Amb. Prof. George Obiozor was a remarkable man, and his passing has left a lasting impression on all of us. May the good Lord comfort his family and loved ones through this difficult time and grant him eternal rest in heaven, Amen.
