On January 24, 2023, I received some of the Executive Members of the Nigeria Labour Congress Women Committee. The group led by their Zonal Chairperson, introduced themselves as the female wing of the organization with a population of over 5000 female workers in both private and public sectors in Imo State.

According to them, the committee is an extension of the Office of the Wife of the Governor as they were avid supporters of the work being done. They appreciated my office for standing in for the voiceless and giving hope to the hopeless for which I shared my gratitude.

We chatted about ways we can do exceptional things as women, mothers, and sisters for the progress of our homes, families, and the wonderful communities we live in.

The group mentioned their forthcoming Women's Delegates Conference slated for February 6 - 8, 2023 in Abuja and praised them for the purpose and plans for the event. I also encouraged them to be advocates of peace and to continue to talk to their wards and children to desist from every vice that will jeopardize the peace and progress of the State.

Thereafter, they extended their appreciation to the Governor of Imo State, His Excellency Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodimma for all the good works which are visible to the people.
