My beloved husband and I received in audience, the women from Okigwe Zone operating under the umbrella of “Okigwe Women First Alliance’’ yesterday, at the Sam Mbakwe Exco Chambers, Government House Owerri.

The group led by the CEO of New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD), Princess Gloria Akobundu came specifically to thank the Governor and I for our support to the zone.

Princess Akobundu reiterated that the women of Okigwe zone are solidly behind the 3R Administration of the Governor and that they will continue to support him until he succeeds in his second tenure as Governor of Imo State.

Receiving the visitors, my husband thanked them for the visit and commended them for recognizing his efforts and commitment to the development of Imo State.

As "Nwadiala", this visit by the people of Okigwe, my beloved paternal grandmother's zone, was a reassuring gesture of the people’s support of the Government of Governor Uzodimma.

I commend the leader of the Group for mobilizing the women for the visit as I am assured that they will take the Government and the administration to the promised land.
