Today at Maria Assumpta Cathedral Owerri, my husband the Executive Governor of Imo State, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodimma @he_hopeuzodimma and I were joined by Government functionaries as well as other well-meaning citizens of our beloved Imo State in an Independence Day celebratory mass.

As the day to celebrate the 62nd anniversary of our dear country‘s emancipation draws near, we are reminded of how far we have come as a nation and how much work needs to be done in rebuilding not just our nation but the minds of the people.

Today’s inspiring sermon urged us to continue to be patriotic citizens, loyal neighbors to our community members, diligent employers or employees, and good people to our immediate family.

We offered prayers for continued unity and peace in our State and Nation. I pray the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ reinvigorates us as we continue to carry out our responsibilities in making this country great again. Amen.
