My husband and I along with key members of the Imo State Government officials and other special guests attended the opening mass of the Second Plenary of the Catholic Bishops Conference of Nigeria (CBCN) held at the Holy Trinity Cathedral Orlu, Imo State, today, September 11, 2022.

During the service, today’s reflection spoke to us about the intrinsic nature of our God who has a love that is unconditional, non-calculating, benevolent, and infinitely merciful towards us.

The sermon further urged us to keep holding on to God in all endeavors and serve him with all our hearts.

I am optimistic that the scheduled week-long period of devotion, sharing in-depth thoughts, and reflections on issues pertaining to the Church and the society between Bishops, the Diocesan Priests Association, and a few Catholics of Owerri Province will lead to profitable deliberations.
