The Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs, Lady Nkechinyere Ugwu, the Most Revered Resident Pastor, Pastor Ijedimma Nwankwo, Mrs. Uzoamaka Nwaneri, Mrs. Chinwe Nwokeji, Chief Mrs. Julie Egbo, Hon. Oluchi Sonate, among other pastors and dignitaries, joyfully gathered at the Dominion City Women Convention held at Dominion City Headquarters, Akwakuma, Owerri, on August 27, 2022.

To celebrate the yearly event designed to develop, groom, and nurture the spiritual and physical lives of the ladies via biblical teachings, the event drew several women throughout the Akwakuma community. In her sermons, Pastor Evelyn Nwankwo stressed the importance of kindness and putting others before oneself. This conference aimed to inspire deserving female leaders in diverse roles and statuses to work toward changing their families and society.

Hon. Lady Nkechinyere Ugwu, my representative, underlined the significance of women supporting one another and being true to one another. She further advised them to put all they had learned throughout the convention to good use by living lives that would inspire others and have a positive impact on their families and society. Hon. Ugwu made a cash donation on my behalf to the church’s ministry.

At the end of the event, Pastor Evelyn Nwankwo praised the 3R Government for its unwavering support of the girl-child. Later, prayers were offered for the Imo government, the Imo people, and all of Nigeria.
