On Sunday, August 21, 2022, at the uniform and constitution launching of the Amucha Women Development Organization (AWDO), Owerri Branch, I was honoured with the Golden Mother Merit Award for prioritising the empowerment of Imo women and the vulnerable in order for them to be more productive.

The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Vulnerable Groups, Hon. Lady Nkechinyere Ugwu accepted the award on my behalf and expressed my gratitude for it. She felicitated with them on their successful launch while making a donation towards their community projects on my behalf. Women who come together in love to help one another and improve their communities will always have the support of the Government of Shared Prosperity.

Thereafter, the immediate past IMC Chairman of Njaba LGA, Chief Emeka Iheanacho, and the Chairlady of the Organization, Lady Nwaugo Linda Uju, recognized the initiatives of the 3R Government, including the construction of roads, the drilling of boreholes in various villages, the development of empowerment programs, and the creation of employment opportunities for their sons and daughters, among others.

My representative was accompanied by Mrs. Chioma McDonald Ebere, Mrs. Chizoba Okoliogwo, and Mrs. Jennifer Uju. Several other dignitaries, including His Royal Highness Eze. C. Ofoegbu (Okwaraoji III of Amucha), the Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Barth Okorochukwu were also present at the event.

Dance performances by the women and award presentations were highlights of the event.
