Just hours after a solar borehole was commissioned by a collaboration between General Theophilus Danjuma (retired) and the Victim Support Fund (VSF) of the Federal Government, the Imo State Government distributed food items to vulnerable households and Civil Society Organizations in the State.
At the distribution site, the Deputy Governor of Imo State, HE Prof. Placid Njoku, who represented the State Governor, HE Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodimma and the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Vulnerable Groups, Hon. Lady Nkechinyere Ugwu, who represented my office, both shared our observations about individuals in our society still recovering from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and the plans of the 3R Administration to continue to support many vulnerable families.
They also strictly instructed the committee members to ensure the items were properly distributed to their beneficiaries.
Though both events have created a supply of clean water and food for vulnerable people in various districts, we encourage more individuals with beneficial projects for their communities to share their plans with the right departments or ministries wherever they are to foster change and a create a better future for the vulnerable around them.
