A few days ago, the report of an abandoned 6-year-old minor, Miracle Molumba, who was found physically impaired on the streets, was brought to my attention. Fortunately, the child had already been rescued by passersby and taken to the caregivers at the Special Education Centre (SEC), Orlu, for recuperation.

Today, the Ministry of Women Affairs and Vulnerable Groups on my behalf, visited the minor to check on the progress of her health and also donate a wheelchair to ease the movement of the child as she tries to find contentment in her new condition. Thankfully, the minor had been responding to treatment and was a lot better.

I would like to applaud the entire workforce at the Special Education Centre for their selfless service and prompt response in assisting the minor. I pray that they all are immensely honoured by God and that He continues to renew their strength.

After the visit to the SEC, my representatives also visited the Cheshire Home for the Disabled, Orlu, to see how they were fairing. Shortly afterwards, similar food items donated at the SEC were also shared to assist in the feeding of their residents.
