As a society, we can agree that mothers are remarkable beings; symbols of genuine love with an obligation to us that encircles all areas of our lives. Therefore, honouring their sacrifices, love, and care is the least we can do as a form of gratitude.

For this honour and celebration, my able representative, the Wife of the Secretary to the State Government, Imo State, Mrs. Pat Iwu, the Wife of the Chief of Staff, Imo State Government, Engr. Mrs. Oby Anyaehie, the Wives of Imo State House of Assembly members, Local Government Area Chairpersons, Wife of the APC Chairman and other members, National Council of Women's Societies representatives, and the Catholic Women Organization (C.W.O), gathered today, at the Maria Assumpta Cathedral Parish, Owerri to celebrate Mother's Day.

I commend them all for the tireless work they have done for our community; it is undoubtedly a source of pride for me to see them work in unity and I pray every one of them will be blessed for their effort.

I would also like to appreciate the Catholic Women Organization for the Award of Honor presented to me as Nne Okwukwe on this glorious celebration. I am deeply honored by this recognition and dedicate this award to the amazing women I have worked with over the past few years. Thank you and God bless you.
