The event led by Lecotech Humanitarian Services and Anuella Charity Foundation hosted several participants to a diverse span of lectures that touched points on matters relating to child trafficking, signs of perpetrators, and actions to be taken in such cases, among other vital security measures.

Over the past couple of years, the number of child-trafficking in Imo State has reduced as a result of the alliance between various ministries, welfare homes, and law enforcement agencies. I strongly believe that for the number to keep dropping, this co-operation between these agencies needs to be strengthened. I am optimistic that everyone involved will continue to do everything they can to maintain the partnership.

I applaud the State Commander, National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), Mr. Ogbu Ernest, the Representative of Commissioner of Police, CSP Dike Albert Uchechi, and SP Nwaozichi Linda Madugba, Barr. Iyke Umah and Professor Olivia Afam-Anene, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mr. Godson Okeoma, the HOD of the Child Department, Mr. Ben Amaefule, and other Management and Staff of the Ministry for taking the time to grace the seminar with their presence, lecture or words of encouragement. I am confident that all participants will do their best to abide by the teachings they have received.

Among the highlights of the training was the awarding of Certificates of Participation to all participants by the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Vulnerable Groups.
