Yesterday, members of the National Council for Women Societies (NCWS) Nigeria gathered at the Banquet Hall of National Centre for Women Development Abuja, to celebrate her Special Award Ceremony.

As a recipient of one of the awards, I would like to share my sincere gratitude to the organizers of the event, the National President of NCWS Nigeria, Dr. (Mrs.) Gloria Laraba Shoda MNI, the Presenter of the awards, Honourable Minister for Women Affairs - Dame Pauline K. Tallen OFR, KSG and other council members for their choice on the ‘Award of Excellence as Pillar of Support to Imo State from the National Council for Women Society’.

At the ceremony, several State Governors, First Ladies and other dignitaries were also presented the meritorious award for their work and efforts in improving the lives of the vulnerable.

The wonderful event ended with the presentation of two books by Dr. (Mrs.) Gloria Laraba Shoda and outstanding entertainment for the guests.
