It was a pleasant experience to watch the young people of Imo State connecting at the special Valentine's Concert/Youth Tech Empowerment event held yesterday, in Owerri. Seeing them enjoy the unique atmosphere reminded us, the older generation, of the ‘fun energy’ Imo State, has been reputed for.

In addition to the ongoing policies and programs we are embarking on to transform the fortunes of our youth, we empowered 2,700 of them with Infinix Smart Phones. This is to further support, encourage and boost their tech-based endeavors.

I congratulate Emekwe Blessing Ogechi from Ikeduru LGA and Okeke Joshua from Orsu LGA for winning the two cars and encourage them to put the cars to good use.

May I express my gratitude to Geely Motors and Mikano International Limited, for the Cars donated to support the event, which was made possible by Hon. Okechukwu Paschal Chibuike, their Brand Ambassador, our very own Cubana Chief Priest @cubana_chiefpriest, who doubles as my Special Adviser on Social Media Influence.

To my dear Imo Youths, let me assure you, yet again, that your welfare and wellbeing remains of utmost importance to my administration. I would continue to engage with you on worthy causes as we work assiduously to fulfil the solemn promises of our Shared Prosperity Mandate for the good of all our people. Keep hope alive.
