On Sunday, January 16th, 2022, my office through the Ministry of Women Affairs and Vulnerable Groups was finally able to extend the yuletide gifts to our mentally challenged brothers and sisters at Imo State Rehabilitation Centre For Destitutes Umuneke, Ngor Okpala.

Everyone present had the opportunity to celebrate with the inmates with light refreshments thereafter, food items were distributed to them.

My representative, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Vulnerable Groups, Hon. Lady Nkechinyere Ugwu, upon her return, brought the good report of seven of the inmates being fully recovered and scheduled to return home by month-end.

Once again, I commended the Principal and Staff for their efforts in ensuring that all patients receive proper treatment. May the Lord continue to reward their dedication and selflessness.
