To mark the finale of the wonderful two-day #APCNationalWomenConference, I together with the first ladies and other Progressive women from the 36 States of the Federation, were hosted to a delightful dinner at the International Conference Center, Abuja. Highlight of the event was the official unveiling of The “Progressive Women Trust Fund“ with distinguished dignitaries present; to address issues surrounding gender imbalance including promoting the participation of Nigerian women in politics.

The dinner soon transitioned into an award ceremony and it was indeed an honour to receive an award for myself and on behalf of my dear husband, His Excellency, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodimma. I can say with certainty that the recognition placed on us will not be taken lightly but will further motivate us to continue our work until we can realize our dream of a better Imo State and Nigeria.

Lastly, I will like to extend my appreciation to the organizers of this event and I look forward to the results of the incredible work that has already begun for our women.
