On behalf of my office, the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Vulnerable Groups, Hon. Lady Nkechinyere Ugwu, distributed cash gifts, foodstuff and sundries to Widows and Orphanage Homes within Imo State. The items which were delivered to their respective recipients on December 28, 2021, at the Imo International Conference Centre (IICC), Owerri, brought joy to their cheerful faces.

Finally, one of the excited widows, Mrs. Florence Adamu, offered prayers in a fitting conclusion to the glorious occasion. My praises also go out to the various individuals working in orphanage homes for their incredible dedication and selflessness throughout the year, it is my prayer that the Lord greatly rewards them.

As the year comes to an end, my office has taken close consideration to ensure the widows, children, and the vulnerable in our society are not left out of the season's joy.
