Today, the 26th day of November 2021, my office welcomed some staff members of the National Human Rights Commission, who introduced their two-week activism plan in commemoration of the International Human Rights Day in Imo State.
According to information shared by the State Coordinator, Mrs. Ukachi Ukah and Assistant Chief Legal Officer, Barr. Ikechukwu Ironali, the National Human Rights Commission, is adopting various activities to fulfil their mandate of advancing and protecting human rights in the State.
As the #16daysactivismagainstgenderbasedviolence campaign continues across the globe, I commend every national organization, non-governmental organization and individual raising awareness or inspiring the campaigns on human rights. I will continue to support stakeholders who are passionate about fighting for the rights of women and girls.
