As part of the Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2021 activities in Imo State, the Ministry of Health and Walk With Us Cancer Foundation brought together a series of activities led by the Commissioner for Health, Dr. Barthy Okorochukwu, to raise awareness about breast cancer.

For this year's commemoration, the theme is "Awareness is Power". As the world celebrates, more awareness must be created about the disease, and proper structures must be in place to help put early detection into practice, especially among uneducated women.

I appreciate the men and women who organized and came out today to take a walk in solidarity with the movement. REMEMBER, EARLY DETECTION AND DIAGNOSIS SAVES LIVES.
