Last night, I along with my colleagues and other dignitaries, were present at the Aisha Buhari Football Tournament dinner hosted by the Nigeria Football Federation to celebrate the football competition held yesterday and the existence of the organization.

We were delighted to learn about the plans FIFA has for the Female Football team, the Nigeria Football Federation and for the Confederation of African Football as shared by the various speakers; the Governor of Lagos State, His Excellency Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the President of the Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Melvin Pinnick, the President of FIFA, Gianni Infantino, the President of CAF, Dr Patrice Motsepe, amongst others.

I was honoured to be a part of such a refreshing celebration that is inclusive of our women’s growth in the football field. To the various teams across Africa for why this tournament exists, I say thank you for working hard with your talents. I can assure you your talents will not go unnoticed and the NFF has so much planned for you and your dreams. Thank you.
