On the 1st of July 2021, the Nigerian Governor's Wives' Forum held a meeting via Zoom Webinar with the President of the Manufacturer's Association of Nigeria (MAN), Engr. Mansur Ahmed, FNSE in attendance, and other members of the Sanitary, Diapers & Napkin group of MAN, alongside other medical practitioners and physicians across the globe on, Providing Affordable Sanitary Pads to Young Girls across Nigeria.

Her Excellency Erelu (Dr.) Bisi Adeleye Fayemi expressed her desire for this project to kick-off as it is an essential part of our society, especially for our girls, which I completely agree with.

While the issue of providing affordable sanitary pads across the country is still a topic of discussion because of certain regulations, I will like to believe we're closer to deciding on how to best provide these resources for our young girls for as little as possible.
