I had the honour of attending the 13th Step-Up and 12th Graduation and Prize-Giving Ceremony of Mountain Crest School at the Landmark Event Centre, New Owerri, represented by the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Lady Nkechinyere Ugwu, UNJP. I congratulate the Director, Deaconess Akudo Okafor, and Head of Schools, Mrs. Obiamaka Aguguam, on the school’s remarkable journey since 2013. Mountain Crest School has remained steadfast in raising children who are balanced academically, morally, socially, and emotionally. On the theme “Emerging Heroes,” I noted that heroism is most often demonstrated through quiet excellence, honesty, and perseverance. I urged the graduating students to carry the values of discipline, integrity, and resilience into the wider world, confident these virtues will see them through future challenges. The ceremony featured awards to outstanding students and cultural performances. I was honoured to receive an Award of Honour alongside the Deputy Governor, Her Excellency Lady Chinyere Ihuoma Ekomaru, PhD.
