God’s mercy to mankind is the bedrock by which we live. These are my reflections from the Eucharistic celebration at the Imo State Government House Chapel yesterday, where I worshipped alongside my beloved husband, His Excellency, Dist. Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, GSGI. The homily offered a reflection on God’s just ways, exemplified in the Parable of the Weeds in the Field from the Gospel reading. It reminds us of God’s immense patience with us, He is slow to judge and always gives us grace to transform, and grow into what He destined us to be. May this message inspire us to recognise God’s goodness, not just toward ourselves, but toward others. We see a mirror of human nature in the image of the weeds among the wheat. Too often, we look down on others, forgetting that we are all equally dependent on God’s grace. Let us carry this lesson of humility, patience, and love into our daily interactions as we build a better State and Nation. #Sunday
