It was delightful yesterday in Lokoja, Kogi State, as I joined the First Lady of Nigeria, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, and National Chairman of the Renewed Hope Initiative, at the official flag-off of the North Central National Food Bank Programme and the commissioning of the Oluremi Tinubu Pension and Treasury House. As part of the impactful state visit, Her Excellency met with the Kogi State Council of Traditional Rulers and Chiefs, and reaffirmed the importance of collaboration for national development. She presented a cheque of ₦100 million to empower 2,000 women petty traders in the state. She also spent time interacting directly with the beneficiaries of this empowerment programme, while kicking off a food distribution exercise at the Primary Healthcare Centre, Lokogoma, Lokoja.
