The Every Home a Garden Project, one of the agricultural support programmes of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) championed by Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, is designed to promote household food security and encourage self-sufficiency through home gardening. The project rewarded winners in Imo State. Representing me at the prize presentation ceremony held at the Imo State Government House, Owerri, were the Honourable Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Welfare, Lady Nkechinyere Ugwu, UNJP, and the Special Adviser on Special Duties to the Governor of Imo State, Hon. Humphrey Ikeaka. They presented cash prizes to the top ten winners of the home gardening competition, which attracted over 300 participants from across the State. The beneficiaries expressed profound appreciation to Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, for the impactful initiative and reaffirmed their commitment to sustaining their home gardens while encouraging other households to participate in the programme.
