H.E. Barr. Chioma Uzodimma led and participated in the two-day NGSF-Ford Foundation Sexual and Gender-based Violence (SGBV) Prevention Programme, reaffirming Imo State’s commitment to ending harmful social norms that fuel sexual and gender-based violence through advocacy, policy engagement, and stakeholder collaboration.

Highlights:
✅ Led a high-level advocacy delegation comprising representatives of NGSF, Ford Foundation, GoodHope Women Flourish Initiative, and NOIPolls to engage the Imo State Governor, State Executive Council, and State House of Assembly on SGBV prevention
✅Advocated for the domestication of the Women’s Economic Empowerment (WEE) Policy, with Governor Hope Uzodimma, CON, committing to policy domestication and strengthened funding for survivor protection
✅ Convened a distinguished gathering of Imo State House of Assembly members, wives of Local Government Chairmen, traditional rulers, Ugoezes, religious leaders, women groups, and youth bodies
✅Renewed the collective pledge to speak against violence, protect survivors, and uphold the dignity, safety, and rights of women, girls, and families
✅ Participated in technical sessions led by the Ministries of Women Affairs, Health, and Justice on SGBV response, psychosocial support, and legal protection
