As part of the First Ladies Against Cancer (FLAC) Annual General Meeting and Cancer Survivors Month activities, members of FLAC alongside wives of State Governors paid a courtesy visit to my husband and host, Executive Governor of Imo State, His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma CON, and members of the Imo State Extended Executive Council Chamber at the Imo State Government House, Owerri. The visit served as an opportunity to reinforce FLAC’s continued advocacy for cancer awareness and support, particularly to encourage women and girls to undergo regular screenings and vaccination against HPV. During the visit, we formally conferred on His Excellency the distinguished investiture of Special Friend of FLAC, a recognition of his support for FLAC’s programmes and his commitment to advancing cancer awareness and healthcare delivery for the people of Imo State. His Excellency’s endorsement continues to inspire our efforts and strengthens our resolve to intensify advocacy and expand outreach across Imo State and beyond. We are deeply grateful for his leadership and continued partnership in this vital cause.
