Our commitment to training, empowering, and mentoring women and girls in marketable skills was fulfilled yesterday at the GoodHope Women Flourish Initiative Project Flourish 200 grand finale and Reaching Forward Mentorship Programme in commemoration of International Women’s Day. Over the past five days, from 9th to 13th March 2026, one hundred female students in Imo State completed intensive skill acquisition training in hairdressing, baking, makeup artistry, content creation, gele artistry, bead-making, and fascinator design. We also onboarded another one hundred women into the Point of Sale (POS) Terminal Machines Empowerment Programme in partnership with Mamamoni Nigeria. We went further with the Reaching Forward Mentorship Programme, moderated by the Foundation’s Founder, Her Excellency Barr. Chioma Uzodimma, with facilitators including @gele_by_chelsy, @gele_by_mimi, @hairsbypamee, @hairnlybycoco, @rikiescake, Owerri Baker, @nomineeartisy, @everything_flashy, @licia360studio, @abii.marach, and Lilygold Millinery as panellists. The GoodHope Women Flourish Initiative understands that skills alone are not enough. What a young woman also needs is a voice that has walked the path ahead of her, turned back, and said: “This is how I did it. This is what I wish I had known. And I believe you can do it too.” We congratulate the participants, each of whom received a start-up grant of ₦50,000, starter kits for all skills acquired, and POS terminal machines for the POS Empowerment participants. You have been prepared; the potential has always been yours. Now, it is time for persistence—the daily, disciplined, unrelenting decision to build the life you deserve. The GoodHope Women Flourish Initiative will continue to walk alongside you.
