As our participants immerse themselves in Day 3 of Project Flourish 200 - Imo State Female Students and Women Empowerment Programme, hosted by the Goodhope Women Flourish Initiative (GHWFI), the atmosphere is one of remarkable progress and growing camaraderie. Students picked up seamlessly from where they had left off, arriving with sharper skills and a noticeably stronger sense of community. The growth in their team bonding was unmistakable. Across every classroom, the transformation is visible. The Makeup class delivered completed face beats, budding Content Creators launched their first projects, and the Baking class produced a fully iced and decorated cake. In the Bead-making session, students practiced client consultations with growing confidence, whilst the Hairdressing class laid flawless full frontals. The Gele class showcased beautifully tied headwear. The transformation from the timid, reserved young women who walked in on Monday was striking. During the lunch break, students expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Foundation. Interviews were also conducted to gather feedback from participants. Looking ahead to their fast-approaching graduation, an exciting new group project was introduced, with all 100 students divided into teams of four. Their enthusiasm was immediate and infectious. Rounding off the day, all participants born in March were celebrated with a birthday cake baked by the baking class students; filling the room with joy and a strong sense of belonging. Together, we continue to raise confident, skilled, and empowered women.
