The cancer ecosystem needs everyone on board, contributing even the smallest amount of support or awareness to help stem the surge of this disease. Yesterday, at the Imo State Government House, my husband, His Excellency Dist Sen Hope Uzodimma, CON, GSGI and I had the honour of hosting Chinenyenwa Judith Amadi, popularly known as “Chibeda.” An Imo State-born health and fitness entrepreneur, Chibeda recently completed an extraordinary solo motorcycle expedition from Lagos, Nigeria, to France and back. Her journey spanned from October 18, 2025, to January 3, 2026.
Her “Ride for a Life” campaign was dedicated to raising vital funds and awareness for cancer, specifically to support patients struggling with the high costs of treatment. Despite facing harsh weather conditions, the grueling challenges of long-distance travel, and a finger injury sustained in Burkina Faso that required stitches, her resolve remained unshaken. She overcame every obstacle to complete this historic mission.
We salute Chibeda’s remarkable resilience and selflessness in championing this noble cause. Her journey serves as a reminder that our collective efforts can truly transform lives. Together, we can turn awareness into action and ensure every cancer patient has the fighting chance they deserve.
