To mark the successful Golden Jubilee celebrations of our state, my husband, His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma, CON, GSGI, and I, joined by Imolites and friends of the State, gathered today for a Thanksgiving Mass at the Imo State Government House Chapel.
The service blended thanksgiving with spiritual admonition. Drawing from the gospel reading of Matthew 5:13–16, the homily challenged us to be the salt and light of the world.
We are called to be agents of transformation. Salt must preserve and add flavour to society, while light must dispel darkness. We must carry this divine essence into our workplaces and homes, ensuring our presence brings healing, hope, and visible positive change. Let us be the standard of excellence that guides others as we celebrate fifty years of our State.
