The First Lady of Imo State and Chairperson, First Ladies Against Cancer (FLAC), Her Excellency Barr. Chioma Uzodimma, delivered a goodwill message at the World Cancer Day 2026 Commemoration, organized by the Federal Ministry of Health & Social Welfare.

Speaking on the global theme “United by Unique,” she reaffirmed FLAC’s commitment to advancing cancer awareness, early detection, equitable access to care, and compassionate support for persons living with cancer across Nigeria.

She emphasized the need for sustained collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Health & Social Welfare, NICRAT, the National Cancer Control and Nuclear Medicine Programme, State Governments, development partners, civil society organizations, and the private sector to reduce the burden of cancer nationwide.
