I commend The Sun Newspapers Nigeria for its sustained commitment to promoting purposeful leadership and recognising Nigerians who are devoted to selfless public service. Such platforms encourage excellence and inspire continued service to humanity.
On 31st January 2026, at the Expo Convention Centre, Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, I was deeply honoured to be recognized alongside other distinguished Nigerians at The Sun Awards Ceremony, where I received the First Lady of the Year 2025 Award.
I was ably represented at the ceremony by the Wife of the Imo State Government Chief of Staff, Engr. Oby Anyaehie. This honour goes beyond my person; it is a recognition of the collective efforts and quiet sacrifices of women who believe that service, compassion, and uplifting others remain our greatest responsibility.
I extend my heartfelt appreciation to The Sun Newspapers for this recognition. I am especially grateful to the resilient women of Imo State, whose strength, support, and trust continue to inspire my work. I also sincerely thank my dear husband, His Excellency, Dist. Senator (Dr.) Hope Uzodimma, CON, whose unflinching support and administration’s commitment to women empowerment continue to create opportunities for women and girls to thrive.
As a mother and advocate, this award renews my determination to do even more for the women and girls of Imo State and Nigeria at large. I encourage every woman to remain steadfast; your voice matters, your efforts count, and together we are nurturing a more inclusive, compassionate, and prosperous Nigeria.
Thank you and God bless you all.
